1. Look for Fair-trade Certified Brands thereby guaranteeing that the farmers are not only paid a fair price for their beans but in addition are given technical assistenance to evetually switch to organic growing

2. Buy Organic Coffee to greatly reduce your exposure and that of the environment to hazardous pesticides that are commonly applied to commercial crops

3. Look for shade grown beans because they were grown under trees that protect the home of migratory birds
